Description
Enjoy the Knysna Leisure Liner lifestyle. Throw out your anchor, explore new places or soak up the African sun while you cast a line and wait for the big one to bite.
Created by naval architect Angelo Lavranos - renowned worldwide for his master designs for safe and stable craft - the Knysna Leisure Liner was conceived for easy cruising. And, built with hand-crafted skill and generously supplied with bountiful headroom, superior quality finishes and marine standard specifications, she combines comfort and easy boating to make you Captain Of Your Own Holiday.
Cruising in calm waters is the obvious attraction for owners of the Knysna Leisure Liner. And her hassle-free features mean that you can enjoy the Cruising Lifestyle - without the fuss of sails, lines or rigging.
The rooftop deck gives passengers a whole new perspective - it’s perfect for watching the world go by or for tanning under a hot summer sun - and the generous, open cockpit allows for a full view of the Liner and its surrounds. And it’s the perfect place for fishing or just snoozing your way through a lazy afternoon.
Because of its shallow, 35 cm draft, the Knysna Leisure Liner enters shallow channels with ease - making it perfect for birding or viewing wildlife on the water’s edge. And its economical cruising speed (of around 6.5 knots) means that it creates a limited wake - which makes it an eco-friendly option in boat ownership.
The wide beam provides stability to the Knysna Leisure Liner’s buoyant GRP construction: so, whether the kids are playing on the sundeck or granddad is falling asleep at his fishing rod, you can be sure that they’re safe in the gentle rocking of the Knysna Leisure Liner.
It’s a family boat; a friendly boat; a boat made for easy days of calm-water cruising. It’s perfect for entertaining and even better for relaxing. And what’s more - it’s moveable, so if you get tired of your surroundings, the Knysna Leisure Liner can be lifted onto a road trailer and transported with relative ease.
EASY ACCESS
From bow to stern, the entire craft is within the helmsman’s handling reach and the non-slip surfaces and aluminium handrails mean that mobility on the deck is quick and safe. The motor Motive Power (your choice of outboard, inboard diesel sail drive or electric power) is mounted astern and housed within an easy access engine cover. And for steering, the Knysna Leisure Liner uses a fitted wheel and cable system.
Step below decks and your first impression is of space and light: large windows in all the cabins illuminate the interior and provide a 180 degree view of the surrounding waterscape, while modern, flush-mounted lighting brings the Liner romantically to life in the evenings.
OPTIONAL EXTRAS
In its standard configuration, the Knysna Leisure Liner sleeps four in comfort - making it perfect for an entire family. It comes fitted with CD radio and speakers, a twelve-volt electric fridge and a gas stove and oven. All joinery is handcrafted to the highest standards, and stipple coating adds a quality finish to the interior. The luxury of the Knysna Leisure Liner is extended to the heads (what landlubbers call ’the bathroom’), which comes complete with toilet, shower and wash basin. And for the ultimate in luxury travel, a pressurised water system and gas geyser provide running hot and cold water. After all, you shouldn’t have to be uncomfortable - even this close to nature.
Other extras include a dive platform (mounted off the stern of the craft, it’s also a safety feature which allows easy access for swimmers); a collapsible canopy for adding shade to the cockpit; and a sleek-design Targa Wing to give extra support for canopies or for mounting solar panels.
FINANCIALLY SOUND
And, of course, the Knysna Leisure Liner is a viable financial investment. As with all well-crafted leisure boats (including sailing yachts and motor yachts), owners can expect a substantial annual increase in resale value. And, because of the standard of quality associated with these boats, financial houses are happy to offer purchase terms of up to five years.
