Description
The quality of workmanship one finds in a Coronet is found nowhere else. She has been built for safety, security and strength with an intelligent hull design that creates a comfortable and dry ride even in rough conditions. Boats are just not built like this today. She is driven by 2 beautiful refurbished 6 cylinder, 106 hp Volvo engines, each completely independent of the other. This Coronet has had an immense amount of work done to her recently. Specifications & Inventory
Mechanical
Remove engines and legs, replace engine mounts, Replace bearings in port leg, repair engine cover frames, check that everything in order, re-install engines and legs. Strip injector pumps and injectors, refurbish totally, reset timing done by Mr. Briegel of Briegel Engineering – top man in Cape Town. Install new thermostats, strip and clean entire water cooling system. Install new steering wheel, new steering pump, new hydraulic piping, Strip and modify dashboard to accommodate new steering system, re-set rudder position indicator. Install new throttle controls and new throttle cables. Install new engine- kill switches, including control box and cables.
Electrical 12v
Fit new bilge pumps (2 in engine room) 1 in saloon Install new control panel and alarm for engine room bilge pump Fit new diesel/ water separators – including sensors and alarm for “water in diesel” Install new navigation lights in white Fit new on/off for electric anchor winch –deck mounted Install new electric water pump for sink Fit new horn and aft deck light Install new batteries and RE-WIRE THE ENTIRE BOAT
Electrical 12v
Install complete 220 volt system with on/off shore power switch and plugs in all cabins, including antique brass light fittings.
Instruments
Fit new revcounters, new ammeters, new hour meter.
Navigation Equipment
Install new compass, new VHF radio and aerial, new GPS, new compass.
Plumbing
Fit new heads (toilet) including 2 new sea cocks
Install new manual bilge pump in saloon,
REPLACE ALL WATER PIPES ON ENTIRE BOAT
Woodwork
Build 2 new hatches in saloon, 2 new engine covers, new dashboard covers.
General
Re-upholster all interior cushions, install blinds and timber covers for all windows for total privacy. Fit air vents into hatches, fit access hatch for dash board wiring, modify heads door and enlarge V berth bed, fit securing mechanism for V berth hatch, install new brackets / locks for windows, hatches, fold down saloon table etc. Fit access hatch in saloon bunk,
