Description

Its hard to justify the aesthetic beauty of the Alaskan 41 with words. Her fluid lines exude elegance and she is built with luxury, comfort, functionality and space in mind. It’s an extremely seaworthy design for coastal and offshore cruising and maneuverable enough to easily negotiate tight Marina’s. The Alaskan 41 offers enough accommodation, cockpit, foredeck, bridge deck and stylish living space to cater for many guests, friends and family. She cruises faster than most passage makers, with a top speed of 24knts, while using half the fuel and has a shallow draft for exploring those island coves. Her open plan layout makes her perfect for charters and entertaining and with a large well equipped L shaped galley that opens onto the saloon and cockpit, and a large  onto the cockpit the host or chef can keep abreast of the conversation. She is a no roll ocean going vessel and can be beached anywhere on her strong straight hull bottom with and has full prop and rudder protection.

Design Portfolio

Designed to turn heads with its plunging trawler style shear line this design breaks the conventional boxy looking cat mould giving both a great looking and performing boat.

A seaworthy passage maker, the Alaskan runs on very economical hulls that permit cruising speeds of 16- 17knts and a top speed of 24knts. With minimal horsepower and economical hull shapes the Alaskan has the fuel consumption to embarrass even the most frugal of monohulls. At a speed of 16-17knts fuel consumption is 1,2Ltrs to the nautical mile giving the Alaskan a range of just over 1000 miles

Her stern is stylish with a wide swim platform and open steps, and offers a very easily accessed walkthrough cockpit and separate duck board area with plenty of room to wet a line and fight a big fish. Hinged Davits that integrate into the seat back keep the duckboard clear and stylish at anchor, and offer a secure place for the dinghy whilst motoring.

Dividing the cockpit and duckboard is a bench height BBQ/preparation area and ample seating for those outdoor social occasions

The saloon design and ergonomics mirror modern housing trends with an open plan theme creating a very social and open environment for entertaining friends allowing you to be part of the conversation.

Full 360* views through upright glass panels gives a great sense of security and excellent panoramic vision.

The galley is L shaped and has very generous bench space and a chest freezer for easy access to your frozen goods. The Galley is situated in front of a large drop down window which opens up into the cockpit. This allows the cook or designated barman to be part of the conversation inside or out. An atrium ceiling increases the feeling of space and with the correct lighting enables a lovely ambience for quiet dinners. Descending into the hulls, the forward cabins are mirror images, with each having the option of either an en-suite or walk in wardrobe in the hull area forward of the double bunks. The bunks are set on bridgedeck level and are island style beds with access down each side. No more waking your partner up in the middle of the night!

Moving amidships, on the starboard side there is a workable navigation station and office. Aft of this is a day head/shower in the aft cabin.

In the port hull aft there is a private double cabin and changing area with easy access back into the main saloon area.

The flybridge is huge for a boat this size. This allows for plenty of seating surrounding the helm and provision for refrigeration. No longer does the helmsman have to suffer his duties alone.

Uncompromised styling gives you a boat that turns heads whilst retaining the functionality and practicality a power cat should offer

Construction overview

The shell is a blend of light cored panels and multi axial cloth bonded with epoxy resins as used in modern race boats. The construction and materials are high tech compared to conventionally molded boats.
